Hi my name is Jayne I used to have a lovely black lab which I left with my friend back in Australia, on returning to the UK I knew I needed another companion so decided to check out the rescue centres here. My ideal dog this time would be a small dog( not like Katie who was a large breed) but on checking the internet my new friend Cara was looking to give a large Crossbreed a home that was situated in rescue in Northamptonshire.
When I saw Murphy I knew I wanted him never thought about how to train him, and secretly thought he would not need much anyway. How wrong was I infact I think I needed more training than Murphy did, when I walked him or shall I say when he walked me it was so hard and never an enjoyable experience I can tell you.
My friend Cara was alway's around with support for me and Murphy and she surfed the internet to find a good Dog Trainer. Along came our Knight in Shining Armour and our Knight is called Paul Daly I have got to say the best since slice bread. Paul taught me about looking after dogs things I never even knew and really it was me who needed training more than my dog did. I had 4 days of one to one training with Paul and it was the best thing I ever did, he gave me a small slip lead to walk Murphy and came with us on walks to show me just how to walk him the right way and for Murphy to stay by me side. Paul told me Murphy was a domminant dog and needed a good pack leader, I was going to be the Pack leader not my dog.
Paul is showing me how to have more confidence training Murphy because the training is still going on, and Paul even though I have finished my one to one trainig with him is always on the other side of the phone if I need anymore advice. I am also going to do classes with Paul and I am so looking forward to it. Murphy is just recovering from a skin infection which meant he could not go out on the lead, so Paul showed me how to exercise him on my running machine, I would of never thought of that.
Paul Daly you are best .
Thanks again for all you have done for us,we are truly your number one fans.

Chip (English Springer Spaniel)
Paul had my spaniel for 1 week & the results were amazing. He changed his diet which immediately made my dog easier to manage. The training was excellent & I now have a dog that is a pleasure to take out walking instead of it being a battle for supremacy. Well done Paul

"Hi my name is Michele. I have a 6yr old English Springer spaniel called Dylan and a 4yr old Irish Water spaniel called Finn. Finn was very dog aggressive. Paul suggested Finn go to his rehabilitation centre for a few days which he did. When i picked him up Paul showed me what he had been doing with Finn and told me to keep on doing it .Which I have done. I still take Finn to the drop in class on Fridays and thanks to Paul I can let Finn off the lead with other dogs now. Dylan helps with puppy classes and I help Paul with other dogs rehabilitation with Dylan and Finn, which they both love doing. Thanks again Paul.
Monty (English Pointer)
I'm Julie and I have the dubious privilege of being the owner of Monty, a 3 year old English Pointer, who I've had for 2 years.
I first contacted Paul about a year ago in the vain hope that he could help with Monty's overwhelming problem, recall or lack of it. Twice he'd disappeared for 6 hours and also run across the bypass.
We've had several day sessions, the last one being over at Castlethorpe where Paul got to see "The Full Monty", by that I mean he ran of and wouldn't be caught for an hour and a half.
This was decision time. Could we keep going on the way we were or should we bite the bullet and let Paul and Monty have a clash of minds for a fortnight and see who came out ahead.
Paul did research on pointer psychology, so he knew the challenge he was taking on, then it was time for battle to commence.
I dropped Monty off and drove off to the sound of him howling, Monty not Paul(I think). I sent numerous emails over the two weeks, checking on progress, which Paul answered very patiently, whilst no doubt thinking, stupid woman.
Then it was time to collect him, he was still howling, (definitely Paul this time). I have a different dog, his behaviour and general demeanour has changed beyond recognition. He's still pushing his boundaries, but by and large he's happy to just trot by my side, without attempting to run off.
We still have a long way to go, Paul tells me that at the moment I have the dog I need rather than the one I eventually want, but hopefully, with continuing progress, that will come in time. We can relax more now and enjoy walking again.
Paul - Thank you.
